Artist Statement

The inspiration that I had for this piece had to do with the impact that COVID-19 has had on relationships with friends, family, and loved ones. The photo is meant to shows the sacrifices that people have had to make when it comes to spending time with others in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Although the two subjects in the photo are just inches away from holding hands, they are unable to reach. The latex gloves give off a more dramatic depiction of protection used to prevent the spread of virus.
