Artist Statement

This drawing was inspired by a drawing that came across on my timeline. I wanted to recreate that drawing because I love the meaning behind Yin and Yang symbol. I think that now more than ever we as a country need unity and balance. The quote I chose to surround this symbol is something that has eased my mind throughout the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter Movement. With all the changes of the pandemic and the worries about the future for the black community, it is important to manifest that energy into beautiful and positive things that we can create to uplift, support, and empower ourselves and others.
