Title of Work: Jaguar Warrior

Description of work: "Jaguar Warrior" is a work that pays tribute to the mythical figure of jaguar warriors in Mesoamerican culture. Inspired by the traditions and beliefs of ancient civilizations, the piece encapsulates the essence of the offering, where heads were buried in specific places and dates as part of a sacred ritual. In this representation, traditional elements of a burial are incorporated, such as meat, pulque and tamales, symbolizing the connection between the earthly and the spiritual. In the center of the composition, a man emerges from a pot, evoking contact with other worlds and dimensions. These elements, recovered and preserved over time, allow us to delve into the Mesoamerican worldview, as revealed by the Borgia Codex. "Jaguar Warrior" is more than a work of art; is a portal to understanding and appreciation of an ancient culture rooted in the history and mystery of Mesoamerica.
