Light Modulating Wall

An Exhibit of Student Work from ARCHITECTURE 2202: DESIGN II
Spring Semester 2022

February 21 - March 8, 2021
Reception Wednesday, March 23@1pm

This project explores natural daylight in architecture through the design of a light modulating architectural wall section.

In this three-week design study, students in the Architecture 2202 studio class have been challenged to design a memorable space using an architectural wall section. Working in teams, each group has developed a light wall that gives an adjacent space a sense of place through the modulation of natural daylight. These projects attempt to create a dialog between architecture and occupant by capturing a poetic interaction with light. These design projects explore the creation of architectural space using natural daylight to create a unique and memorable experience.
